Lykkeis the personal assistant for students. It works on your semester in the background — prep for what's due, courses built from your syllabus and flashcards on time — plans your week when you open it, doesn't schedule anything on its own, and never submits your coursework.

About Lykke
Lykke hands students finished work — prep, plans, courses and review — and keeps a receipt of everything it did. Educators can build or adapt courses and see what their class is asking about.
Connect Lykke once, and the AI you already use can catch you up, plan your study week, quiz you from your course and hand you calendar links for the study sessions you ask for.
This guide used to point to the Lykke GPT in ChatGPT's GPT store. The way in now is a connector. It works in ChatGPT and in Claude, you sign in with your Lykke account, and it can reach your courses, notes, flashcards and synced Canvas deadlines.
Before you start
You need Luminary. Lykke in ChatGPT and Claude is for college students on Luminary, and every new account gets Luminary free for its first 7 days. See plans.
No API key needed. The first time the app connects, it opens Lykke. Sign in the way you usually do, check what it asks for, and choose Allow.
In ChatGPT on the web, go to Settings → Security and login and turn on Developer mode.
2.
Go to Plugins and select +. Name it Lykke, choose OAuth authentication, and add this MCP link:
https://api.getlykke.com/notes/mcp
3.
Select Create. When ChatGPT asks, sign in to Lykke and choose Allow.
4.
In a chat, open + → Developer mode and pick Lykke, or type @Lykke.
Developer mode is on the web for Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise and Edu plans; in a workspace, an admin may need to allow it. ChatGPT asks before any tool that makes changes.
In Claude, go to Customize → Connectors, select +, then Add custom connector.
2.
Name it Lykke and add this MCP link:
https://api.getlykke.com/notes/mcp
3.
If Claude asks how to register, choose Register automatically. Select Add, then Connect, then sign in to Lykke and choose Allow.
Turn it on in a chat from + → Connectors. It works on the web, desktop and mobile. The Free plan allows one custom connector; on Team and Enterprise, an owner adds it first under Organization settings → Connectors.
Using Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, VS Code or Gemini CLI? The setup page has the steps for each.
What to ask
"What's due this week, and what should I work on first?"
"Quiz me on the last section I studied — one question at a time."
"Review my due flashcards with me and record how I do."
"Turn my notes on the last lecture into a one-page study guide and save it as a note."
"Plan my study sessions for the next 7 days and add them to my calendar."
What it can reach
Your courses. Read and search courses you built, saved or were given; find Lykke's free courses, including AP; build new courses; propose edits you approve.
Studying. Your progress through each course, spaced-repetition flashcard reviews it records for you, and flashcards or quizzes it saves into Lykke.
Notes and files. Search, read, create and update your notes; read the files you uploaded.
Canvas and deadlines. Your synced Canvas courses, assignments, announcements and files, and what's due soon. Read-only: nothing is written to Canvas.
Calendar. Hands you a Google Calendar link for a study session you ask for, which you open and save. It can't read or change your calendar.
Careers. Internships and new-grad jobs matched to you, your application tracker (add jobs, move stages, keep notes), your job preferences and career profile, a prep plan from your own courses, and mock interviews from Lykke's question banks. Lykke never applies for you.
Research. NSF REU programs and active NSF grants, searchable by field and state.
Staying in control
When you allow an app, you can let it read only.
ChatGPT and Claude ask before any tool that makes a change.
Unless you pause the log, every call is recorded with the app, the tool and the reason it gave. The log keeps 30 days, and you can clear it.
Disconnect an app in Settings → MCP Access, and it stops working at once.
Lykke never writes to Canvas, and a connected AI can't read or change your Google Calendar. For an event you ask for, it hands you a Google Calendar link to save yourself.
Lykke never turns anything in for you.
Would you rather build your own GPT?
You can make a private custom GPT with a Lykke API key instead. It holds up to 30 of Lykke's tools, where a connector gets all of them. The setup page walks through it.
